How to dispose of batteries in Leeds

Never put batteries in either household bin. Leeds says household batteries can be returned at many shops and council premises, and at its recycling centres.
What to do
- Take single-cell household batteries to a participating retailer or council collection point.
- Petrol and diesel car batteries can go to a recycling centre.
- For an electric vehicle battery, contact the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.
