How to dispose of garden waste in Leeds
Brown garden waste bin or recycling centre
Leeds’ brown bin accepts flowers, plants, grass cuttings, hedge clippings, leaves, windfall fruit and small branches no thicker than 3cm. Food waste, soil and compost are excluded.
What to do
- Put accepted garden waste loose in the brown bin; do not use plastic bags.
- If you do not receive a brown-bin collection, check the council’s collection options.
- Take extra garden waste to a household recycling centre.
